Company Information

The Action Baby Carrier is manufactured by Optave Inc., a Michigan corporation. Optave Inc was founded in 2006 by Angela and Scott Alexander. The goal Action Baby Carriers and our parent company is to offer quality baby child products that are comfortable and stylish at a great price for all families!

Our company is dedicated to selling American made child carrier products that are stylish and affordable so that every parent can carry their baby in style and comfort.

Going Green

We love the environment!  Our factory is located in rural Northern Michigan on 10 beautifully wooded acres.  We encourage our employees to take walks, breath the fresh air, enjoy the wildlife and beauty that surrounds us. 

Naturally, we want to protect this blessing of beauty and life that we love.  So we take great strides to have as little impact as possible on Mother Earth!  In doing this we have taken many steps, here are just a few:

• Utilize our Extra Fabrics- we have very little scrap fabrics because we have created a product that has very little waste.  However, if we do have extra scrap fabric we use it for new product designs and donate it to other companies who can use smaller parts of fabric or to our local homeschool group for projects.
• Solar Energy- We are developing solar energy to help us heat and power our factory.  
• Shipping- When ever possible we purchase our fabrics, webbing. foam, packaging and other goods from local or national suppliers to slow down our shipping footprint.
• Organics- We are dedicated to the health of our smallest clients (your babies)!  In offering 100% certified organic child carriers we are keeping your baby healthy and safe and not putting chemicals into our water ways, soil and air.
• Keeping Jobs Local- We know the value of jobs across the world.  But, we also understand the value of employment of our own factory workers.  We do this so that when a new product is in the works we do not have to wait for overseas manufacturing and all the shipping environmental hazards- we simply can manufacture a demo on site and keep our cost lower, the environment healthy and the end product affordable.
